It is always exciting and thrilling to start a new journey.
Recently, we feel better and better because we can communicate with so many users from all over the world and hear their views on robot lawn mowers and their needs for easy-to-use robot lawn mowers.
Where Are We From
My partners and I entered the robot industry 12 years ago and founded two companies. Every year, we spend a few weeks visiting and researching the robotics industry and discussing what we should do. In 2016, we thought we wanted to make a product that every robot in the future would need.
We thought that this product was a robot sensor, because the premise for every robot to serve people is that it can clearly recognize and understand the space it is in. In the next few years, we focused on this and encountered explosive growth in the robot vacuum cleaner industry, logistics robot industry and other industries. So far, the number of robots equipped with our sensors has exceeded 15 million.

Why Are We Here
What has not changed every year is that we still spend a few weeks researching and discussing the robot industry. Our first discussion of robot lawn mowers was in early 2022. In the previous year, our sensors and algorithms were installed in more than 2 million units in the robot vacuum cleaner industry.
When we started discussing robot lawn mowers with users, we were surprised to find that users had so many pain points, such as difficult installation, inability to determine the breakpoint when the wire was broken, unfriendly to small animals, and so on.
The lawn mower robot is not as easy to use as the sweeping robot. It requires complex settings and management and cannot be used out of the box. The most important change needs to start with improving the robot's ability to perceive the environment - and this is our strength. I clearly remember the excitement in everyone's eyes when we decided to enter the lawn mower robot industry in July 2022.
Since then, our journey has begun.
What Have We Done
Our plan is to improve the intelligence of the lawn mower robot first, so that the lawn mower robot can be simple and easy to use. So in the first step, we are committed to building an intelligent perception system for the robot lawn mower. Genie is already equipped with this system. (We will introduce this system in detail later)

The product development process is painful but happy.
In June, we started to send Genie to seed users for field testing. Then various problems occurred - signal connection problems, robot out of bounds, charging station unable to charge, robot unable to work in some scenarios, etc., and we were in a mess. Later, as the chaos ended, we were relieved to see that seed users sent us positive feedback on their experiences.
Now we still receive new bugs every day, and sometimes we are in a mess, but we enjoy this journey.
The Next Step
When the robot lawn mower is smart enough, we will strive to create an all-in-one intelligent lawn care robot system to free people from the work of planting grass, fertilizing, replanting, collecting fallen leaves and grass clippings.
After that, creating a fully intelligent garden care robot will enter our plan.
In this journey, we have only walked a short distance now, and there is still a long way to go to reach the goal we set.
We believe that robots will bring a better life, and we will fight for it.
